The natural world of landscape is both my inspiration and my starting point in painting. Each time I face a new canvas with brush in hand I feel the anticipation of an upcoming journey.

 

I’m always taken into the ever-evolving areas of landscape, those spaces where natural systems compete as one section transitions into the next. Those areas where plants give way to trees, fields to forest, tree tops to sky. That’s where hidden beauty resides.

 

I try to see and understand that beauty, to capture and simplify the essence of nature as seen in landscape.

 

I maintain a studio at The Artists Gallery in Virginia Beach.  In addition to painting and participating in the many shows, I am also on the Board of Directors for the gallery.  My friends and colleagues at The Artist Gallery help to keep me on my chosen path, ever evolving.
